Mercedes 280SE parts or project car

1977 Mercedes-Benz 280SE, great body, nice interior. Doesn't run; the original owner spent $2000 on the engine but ran out of money before the reinstallation was complete. Basic engine is in the car, but accessories, fuel and electrical hookups not completed. He donated it to the Disabled American Veterans, who brought it into our shop to see if it could be completed and made runable. Our recommendation was that they sell it as-is rather than investing their money in it. As far as we can tell, all the parts are included. It even includes a nice custom-fit car cover! It has clean California title, but is not currently registered.
